SIGN in Myanmar
Professor Thit Lwin is the SIGN program manager for Myanmar. His hospital is a training ground for starting new SIGN programs and is responsible for starting 4 new SIGN programs. Myanmar hospitals conduct 600 SIGN surgeries annually, treating patients as young as this 14 year old boy. He and his four brothers were all injured in the same road traffic accident and all five brothers received SIGN surgeries. SIGN needs your help to sustain the program in Yangon General Hospital so that Dr . Thit Lwin can continue to train surgeons who will begin future programs in Myanmar.
