Partner Projects

SIGN partners with individuals, organizations, and corporations to expand our reach, create sustainable programs for educating surgeons, and care for more people in need.

SIGN Spine Program

We are excited to be working with spine surgeons from Canada and the USA to develop and implement a new specialty program: SIGN Spine. The first surgeons in this program will be fully participating in one-year combined orthopaedic/neurosurgical spine fellowships in the Canadian university medical system. Then they will return to Kenya and other low-and-middle income countries to establish spine care centers of excellence to treat patients and train more spine surgeons.

These spine surgeons appreciate and want to replicate the SIGN Model of combining education with an ongoing supply of relevant implants and instruments.

This is a major undertaking, but with support from experts around the world and dedicated supporters like you, SIGN Surgeons will be able to provide complex and life-transforming surgery for people with spine trauma.
