Business Services Director
Location: Richland, WA, Hybrid
Position Type: Full-Time, Executive
Position Summary: SIGN is seeking a Business Services Director to serve as an executive champion and operational leader for our organization. This role will lead and optimize SIGN’s financial, legal/compliance, technology, human resources, and business operations.
As a strategic leader, the Director will optimize cohesion, efficiency, and cross-operational harmony to these functional areas. Reporting directly to the CEO, they will collaborate closely with internal leadership to champion legal/regulatory compliance, financial efficiency, proactive risk management, and technology optimization organization wide. The Director’s goal is to build resilient systems that support, resource, and elevate the day-to-day work of our established teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Executive Leadership & Oversight of Business Services
Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for financial, legal/compliance, technology, human resources, and business operations.
Compliance, Risk Management & Internal Collaboration
Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure strict legal adherence, proactive risk management, and regulatory compliance organization wide.
Strategic Planning
Work with the CEO and leadership team to develop strategic plans that support SIGN’s mission
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, Health Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or advanced professional degree is desired.
Professional Experience: 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in business operations, corporate services, or financial management.
Cross-Functional Knowledge: Deep expertise in running complex financial, human resources, technology, or regulatory operations.
Strategic Resource Management: Demonstrated experience analyzing operational expenses and strategically allocating resources (such as technology infrastructure) to maximize efficiency.
Compliance & Risk Management: Strong familiarity with navigating legal frameworks, labor laws, financial controls, and regulatory compliance standards is preferred.
What we offer:
Pay and Benefits: $100-160k depending on experience. SIGN offers a competitive benefits package featuring: Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401K with Employer match up to 4%. 32 hours of personal time annually and up to 96 hours of Vacation annually.

Program & Education Assistant
SIGN Fracture Care International is seeking a Program & Education Assistant for an immediate opening!
SIGN’s mission is to give the injured poor access to fracture surgery by donating orthopaedic education and implant systems to surgeons in developing countries.
We seek a Program & Education Assistant who shares our vision, brings passion to the job of fulfilling the mission, and excels at collaborating with partners around the world. The Program & Education Assistant is part of the Program & Education Department, which is a fast-paced and flexible environment.
The Program & Education Department is responsible for supporting SIGN Surgeons overseas, ensuring they have the equipment and educational resources they need to treat their patients. The Program & Education Department also works closely with the President and Chief Executive Officer.
Position Responsibilities:
Clear and concise communication with people in the medical field for whom English may be a second language
Data entry, including contact information and Program/Volunteer applications
Assist with building reports for grants and tracking business metrics
Assist with planning and execution of education events
Assist the President and Chief Executive Officer on tasks, as needed
Qualifications:
Communication and Collaborative Skills: Must have the ability to work collaboratively and possess excellent written/verbal communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, and proofreading. Must be customer service oriented and possess the ability to communicate in a multicultural context.
Excellent Organizational Skills: Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapt to daily challenges and rapid changes, and perform duties proficiently. The ideal candidate will have the ability to coordinate several activities effectively at once and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Detail Oriented: Must be able to enter data efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will be able to easily recall details, such as names and geographic locations.
Technologically Savvy: Must have a solid proficiency with all Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn and adapt to a variety of software applications. Experience with customer relationship management tools, such as Salesforce, is preferred.
Inquisitive and Motivated: We are looking for a person who works well with our team, is willing to take on new challenges, and is passionate about our mission. Ideally must be the type of person who is always looking for new ways to accomplish tasks. Experience with critical thinking, research, and problem solving is a plus. Based on performance, there is a potential for growth in this position.
Experience in non-profits, humanitarian organizations, public health programs, or global/multicultural environments is a plus.
Pay and Benefits: $22-$27/hour DOE
